Artist Diana McCormick reports on her recent move and its impact on her work:

"As I anticipated my move to New Mexico my paintings had already gone through a change. The paintings Sharon has now I will continue to build on, I'm sure over time they will be further transformed by my experiences here. It's a very exciting time for me-- it's so beautiful and inspiring here. I love Santa Fe there is a lot to see and the people are very welcoming. I set up my studio right away and have eagerly jumped into work.”

The Columbus Dispatch recently featured the art collection of the Ohio Judicial Center, which includes the work of gallery artists Rick Akers and Debra Dawson. Read the article here:

Welcome...

The Sharon Weiss Gallery opened on Poplar Street in the Short North in 1994 and moved to its present location on Lincoln Street in the Short North seven years ago. The goal of the gallery has remained constant for thirteen years- to give passionate artists a place to exhibit and provide an inviting gallery space, where the community can become passionate about the artists and the art they create.

The gallery prides itself in exhibiting original paintings, prints and sculptures by primarily Ohio artists working in many different mediums. The majority of the exhibiting artists are available to meet customers making the process of purchasing art a personal experience. The first Saturday of every month during Gallery Hop artists paint and sculpt on site.

Since 1994, art has been shown alongside antique furniture and antique accessories. The hope is to demonstrate how splendid paintings and sculptures work together with interior and exterior furnishings.

The Sharon Weiss Gallery looks forward to many more years of sharing art and artists with the Columbus community.

I want to touch people with my art. I want them to say 'he feels deeply, he feels tenderly.' -Vincent Van Gogh
