Fables for Our Time, is an exhibition of oil paintings on canvas, by Anita Dawson. This collection of paintings invites viewers to ponder both the magical and natural world, and to construct stories through the power of imagination.
Congratulations to gallery artist Anita Dawson! Anita will be honored with a solo exhibition at the McConnell Arts Center, July 9th to September 1st. Her show is titled, Fables for Our Time, and opens Thursday July 9th, 6 to 8 pm. This show will include approximately 40 paintings, and there will be an Ekphrastic workshop led by poet Charlene Fix the following week based on the paintings. Congratulations again to Anita on this exciting news.

Gallery artist Fred Fochtman’s painting “Carnations, Astra Maria and Old Daisy in Small Glass Jar”, will be included in this year's Magnitude Seven Exhibition at Cincinnati’s Manifest Gallery. The exhibition opens May 28th and closes June 26th, 2026. Congratulations, Fred!
Congratulations to gallery artist Brian Ballenger! Brian’s painting, “Matisse Weave, No. 3 (Bouquet of Flowers on the Veranda)” was juried into The 80th Ohio Annual Exhibition at the Zanesville Museum of Art (June 18 through September 21). In addition, Brian’s painting, “Winters Weave (Point Cloud (6)” will be exhibited as part of The 80th Annual Juried Members' Exhibition at the Springfield Museum of Art (June 5 through August 27).

Every year, Sharon Weiss Gallery is proudly represented by gallery artists at the Ohio State Fair Fine Arts Exhibition. Congratulations to all the artists who have been accepted into this exciting event. The exhibition will be on view at the Cox Fine Arts Center, July 29th through August 9th. More information to come.
